[Now, see, the plan is to take her home. Just like she asked. The plan is to walk together the short distance to his block, invite her inside, and avoid his roommates for long enough to take her to his dorm room. There, he'd put on some music, mix them another drink, work up the nerve to kiss her, and the rest would just happen on its own. The rest is just biology, just instincts. The rest, he can do in his sleep.
But standing next to him like that, her arm around his and her fingers in his fur, a good couple of heads shorter than him, that feeling in his gut flares up again. That intense, near-overwhelming feeling, like heat bubbling in his core, it dominates his senses as Lup shoots him a look he has no trouble reading. A soft sound starts rumbling in his chest without him noticing, low and very quiet, almost like a growl. The vibrations of it are surely noticeable to the little human pressed against his side.
Barry wonders if he'll be able to make it the whole walk back to his dorm.]
Y-Yes. Of course. [Even as he's starting to have trouble thinking, Barry leads her through the bar and out the front door. Maybe the fresh air will calm his senses, cleanse his head of those muddled, instinctive desires.]
[Now that? That right there? That is so new to Lup.
As close as she is to him, there's just no hiding the sudden sound that builds up in Barry's chest, that soft rumble that she can feel through her own body from the way her fingertips are pressing against his arm. It's low and quiet but somehow still so intensely powerful. And even more than that, pressed up against him, the sound feels dangerous, like a tiger's intense purr right before it leaps on it's prey.
It leaves Lup shivering there beside Barry, her whole skinny frame trembling at his side, but of course instead of frightening her away, it just draws the woman in that much more. She needs to hear more of that noise, to press her whole body up against his while he growls like that.
Barry manages to get her outside, hoping the cool air will help him keep his head while they get back to his place, but Lup has other plans. The door shuts behind them and she's already tugging at his big arm, pulling him into the back alley, mouth curling into a dangerous grin. The look she aims up at him is just as hot and hungry as before, but now there's no hiding her amusement either.]
[Perhaps the haze of desire clouding his thoughts is what makes it so easy for Lup to tug him with her, his massive weight coupled with her determined strength enough to make him stumble a little as he follows her. She pulls him into the alley, of all things, away from the road and the sidewalk, into the darkness of two buildings nestled against each other, leaving just enough room for dumpsters and crates to sit comfortably between them.
Barry's size makes the alley feel a little snug. Almost a little intimate. Like a dark cave in the woods.]
Wh-What? [The sound stops when he speaks, but picks back up again as he starts breathing, his diaphragm rumbling on every inhale and exhale. Oh. Yes, that must sound like purring to her. With the way his pupils dilate so his eyes turn very dark, and the way his whole body is radiating heat, he must appear like a big, cuddly animal ready to curl up and rest.
In reality, he's feeling a lot more predatory than that.]
No, that's-- that's not it. I... [They're decidedly not in private, but now that they're more alone, Barry lets his body take over a little, crowding the little human up against the cold brick wall. His breathing is heavy.] I don't th-think I can make it back home like this.

Are you purring?
